August 22nd - Penybont Nipper Carnival will take place on Saturday 11th September at Ogmore by Sea starting at 12 midday.
August 9th - SLSA Wales is pround to announce the redesign of its Award Certificates. The new certificates are colourful and cover all our awards. Many also include badges that represent specific awards including a gold badge for the NaRs Beach Lifeguard award.
Shown above are the new Assessors certificates and the complete set of 12 badges. More details on all the certificates and their associated badges will be put on the Technical pages soon.
August 8th - The Nipper Championship Results have been added HERE
August 2nd - The results of the Master Championships at St Davids can be found HERE and the accumulated points for the Super Club Champions can be found HERE.
July 27th - The results of the 2nd and 3rd ranking events at St Davids and Aberavon are now available Results 2010

July 19th - The Porthcawl Round the Bay Swim was cancelled and will now take place on August 15th. Please find details HERE
July 18th - The annual SLSA Wales IRB Championships will be taking place on the 4 & 5 September, 2010 in Barry, South Wales.
All IRB teams are welcome to attend. If you are interested in attending this event please email powercraft@slsawales.org for further information.

July 18th - SLSA Wales Championships are fast approaching. You need to make sure that you have somewhere to stay. Please find details of ACCOMMODATION, the CHAMPIONSHIPS and a FLYER
July 6th - The Welsh Championships Entry Packs have been updated HERE or can be found by selecting Competition then Entry Forms.
July 4th - SLSA Wales recently met with SLS GB to discuss the relationship between the two governing bodies and have agreed the following Joint Statement.
Further discussions will now take place between the two organisations.
June 25th - Where is the IRB?
Following on from our 2009 competition, SLSA Wales Powercraft has re launched our ever popular ‘Where is the IRB?’ competition for the summer of 2010.
Over the next 6-8 weeks 6 photos of IRBs in various locations will appear on the Powercraft website www.rescueboatwales.org
Simply note the location of the IRB and when you have all 6 email you answer to Powercraft@slsawales.org.
The person with the most correct answers will win a superb prize from SLSA Wales Powercraft. Picture 1 is already on the website so why not give it a go.

June 19th - An SLSA Wales exclusive
The Powercraft commission has secured a deal on ICOM M 33 IC-M33 Hand Held Marine VHF Radios on a bulk order price of £123 per radio.
These radios are UK spec and float if dropped into the water.
Radios will be supplied with all available public channels plus the Lifeguard frequency (161.225mhz)
If you or your Club require radios at this reduced price please contact Powercraft@slsawales.org ASAP confirming the number you require.
Please note – price quoted is subject to a minimum order number to obtain handsets with Lifeguard channel.
June 12th - It is with pride and congratulations that SLSA Wales announces that its President Peter Lake has today been awarded an MBE in the Queens Birthday Honours List. The award has been made on his services to Surf Life Saving for the past 41 years. It is poignant that the award is made today as it is Nipper Camp weekend, an event started and managed by Peter that involves over 300 Nippers, Coaches and Helpers.
In honour of this the Nippers insisted Peter dress up for the day to celebrate.

May 15th - SLSA Wales meet with ILS
On May 14th SLSA Wales met with the President of ILS Dr Stephen Beerman. Over the course of an hour a number of subjects were discussed including the humanitarian side of Life Saving. The talks were very positive and Wales looks forward with further correspondence with ILS in the future.
April 23rd - SLSA Wales has a quantity of GBoard Nipper Boards from Australia in the UK available immediately for sale at £245 per board .
